Recent changes at CEDIA
In the wake of staffing changes at CEDIA, Board of Directors chairman Dennis Erskine has sent an open letter to members offering points of clarification regarding the current state of the association.
Dennis assured members that personnel changes occur for a variety of reasons and that both financially and organisationally, CEDIA has never been stronger. He says the sale of the show means CEDIA will be able to re-double its efforts to focus on education and workforce development.
“The board is steering this ship with precision and thoughtfulness for the long-term best interests and profitability of its members. I can assure you that the work we’re doing right now alongside CEDIA’s staff to develop a clear, concise, and effective strategy for the association is moving forward brilliantly, and the assistance of Dr. Rebecca Homke, a strategy expert and fellow with the London School of Economics, is invaluable,” says Dennis.

Dennis confirmed that CEDIA is starting a strategy to appoint new leadership and will continue to keep members updated. In the meantime, Tabatha O’Connor, an association expert with over 15 years’ experience with CEDIA, will take over the duties as acting president/chief executive.
Any members with concerns or questions are encouraged to contact Dennis or any member of the board directly.
