CEDIA announces first Australian Fellows inductee
CEDIA has announced that three people will be inducted to the CEDIA Fellows program at CEDIA 2017, including the first ever Australian fellow, Len Wallis.
Len, along with David Graham and Julie Jacobson will be inducted to the CEDIA Fellows program, which honours long-time CEDIA members and volunteers who have contributed significantly to the association’s success.
“These CEDIA members have had a profound impact on our association and we are incredibly thankful for their dedication, generosity of time and knowledge, and significant contributions to the association,” says CEDIA chairman Dennis Erskine.

The three inductees will be recognised at the CEDIA Awards celebration, which will be hosted on the USS Midway on Wednesday 6 September 2017.
“It’s a great privilege to be the first Australian inducted to the CEDIA Fellows program and I’m riding on the shoulders of some impressive predecessors,” says Len.
Len has spent his working life in audio, starting as a salesperson for MS Sound in 1970 before opening Len Wallis Audio (LWA) in 1978. LWA was a founding member of CEDIA Australia in 1995 and in 2001 it was first company outside the US to receive the CEDIA ‘Dealer of the Year’ award.
Len is also a long-time supporter of CEDIA and has been a presenter at numerous Australian CEDIA expos. He served on the local CEDIA board for many years and as chairman twice.
Tickets for the CEDIA awards celebration are available through the CEDIA 2017 registration system. CEDIA 2017 will be hosted at the San Diego Convention Centre on 5-9 September 2017.
