Bowers & Wilkins trial trade pickup through Radio Parts
Bowers & Wilkins (B&W) has announced a strategic partnership with Radio Parts Group in Melbourne to supply selected third-party integration customers.
B&W has worked closely with Radio Parts since the 1960s and although it is known for technologies such as the use of Diamond tweeters and driver decoupling, B&W has also developed other technologies specifically suited to the custom installation market.
These include the ‘quick dog’ installation design that enables installers to wire the house and calibrate the speakers during construction. When optimised, this technology means installers can remove the speaker from the speaker basket until handover, avoiding potential theft when the house is unoccupied. At handover, the installer can then clip the speakers into the pre-installed ceiling mounts in a matter of minutes.

The partnership with Radio Parts is part of a further expansion into the custom installation market. During the initial phase of this partnership, Radio Parts will be offering a tailored range, which will be reviewed and expanded, subject to demand, in 2018 and beyond.
